In the heart of Paris and near the Cité island, the small Saint-Louis Island (Saint-Louis island) is one of the loveliest districts of Paris.
A veritable haven of peace in the heart of the capital, the island Saint Louis has remained almost intouched since its renaissance at the beginning of the 17th century. Noted for its exceptional beauty and tranquility, Saint Louis is where native Parisians go in order to escape the noise and the stress of the city. It thus offers an ideal starting point to discover the charms of historical Paris and romantic strolls along the banks of the Seine.
Walk from Notre-Dame to the Ile Saint-Louis through the garden at the back of Notre-Dame. The island is best accessed from the Cite island on foot. Look for Bertillon, the best French ice-cream maker, at 31 rue Saint-Louis.
The closest metro station to the Ile Saint-Louis are Saint-Paul, Cité and Pont Marie (less than 10 minutes walk).

This was a fabulous place to stay! I've been to Paris at least 20 times, rented lots of apartments, but this was by far the most fun. We were there for New Year's Eve, 2011. I cannot wait to come back.

We signed the contract months prior to our arrival in Paris on 25th March 2011. Our host Dr Giancarlo Buccafusca was most attentive to our requests and made the entire process a delightful experience. What a lovely place to stay when in Paris. The apartment was as described, well furnished and catered to all our needs. It is located within easy walking distance to the Metro and for local shopping needs. When we returned of an evening we appreciated the peace and quite of this ideal location. We look forward to staying here again when next we visit Paris. Highly recommended.

East Lindfield, Sydney, Australia Staying one month in the apartment and it is the best location for exploring Paris. Central to Marais, Bastille, Blvd. St. Germain, Latin Quarter etc. Bertillion ice cream is one block away. Chez Julian, Itenerairies, La Table du Fabrice, L' Orangerie, Bofinger, La Taverne du Nuit and L'as du Fallafel etc. are so close. Cab rides to Effiel, Lovre are less than 9 euros and Batobus is over a bridge and one block futher. If you get sick, just phone the owner, he is a doctor that will offer a house call and fill out a script for you if needed. t=This is a great place to rent for your unforgettable stay in Paris. Long distance calls to North America are free as well.
My sister and I spent 10 wonderful days in your beautiful apartment. The location is ideal. Walking distance to everything. Close Metro station. great restaurants and shops in the island. The apartment is very comfortable and welcoming. Loved the river view from the window. Thank you for helping us fall in love with Paris. May destiny brings us back to Paris again soon.

The owner is a friendly, attentive and welcoming host. He goes 'above & beyond' in providing assistance. This apartment is lovely, safe, secure, comfortable, and in a wonderful location. As a woman travelling alone, on my first trip to Europe, I felt very comfortable and contented, and found easy access to everything I needed during my stay in Paris. The owner was the perfect host - he made myself, my wife, and our infant daugther all welcome in his lovely apartment. As you know, we have traveled and enjoyed Paris over 20 times as ardent tourists during the past 25 years. In all that time no fine Parisian hotels or rental apartment managers has paid such caring attention as you have shown to our comfort and needs.
This two week visit to Paris was special because of your attentive warmth plus the eyecatching surroundings of the Ile St-Louis and the River Seine to enjoy each time we went outside. Add to that the
elegance of your newly refurbished and outfitted apartment along with comfortable furnishings. You made the three of us, my wife,my 16 yr. old grandaughter and me feel like extra special guests.
Your special doctoral care and help with my need to carefully attend to my medical condition was a miracle for me. I cannot compensate you enough for your sacrifice of time. Relinquishing your own rest and adding to that the letter you developed to help me on the plane..... I cannot help thinking of you as a special saint. You are certainly a special person who had entered our lives and helped us while we were in need.
Please make it a point, the next time you are the States.....stop in to see and stay with us in our home. Be sure to call us at least and if possible we could meet you somewhere here in Florida. We will be in New York city the first week in December!
