Bonjour!
Me and my husband stayed for five nights in this appartment and I think it was worth to rent. Renting itself was easy, all paperwork by internet. Appartment is located in the heart of Paris, two metrostations near and rer-trainstations within walkable distance. Access to appartment was arranged well and written instructions great. Just arond the corner is a daily grocerystore and countless amount of creperies, brasseries and restaurants and take-away-places. Appartment was cosy and atmosphere was in the right way bohemian! We found there everything what we needed. Also the price was very reasonable.
Au revoir,

Nathalie et jean-jacques were the nicest, most helpful people, and their petite apartment was just the perfect place to call home while we stayed in paris for just over a week.
the location can't be beat - three metro stations nearby! lots of pastry, bread, cheese, macaroon, olive oil, clothing, grocery, and misc. shops around as well as countless cafes and hole in the wall restaurants. cafe de flore is just a skip away, as well as other quaint tourist stops like laduree! we walked everywhere with this as our perfect headquarters - the louvre, le marais, rue mouffetard... the seine is right there for romantic strolls along both banks.
we had a wonderful time thanks to nathalie et jean-jacques. we hope to be back sooner than later!

My wife and I stayed in the apt. this past Nov., 2008, for 6 nights. As others have mentioned, it is a great location! I have been to Paris many times and have stayed in many areas, and the hotel in the 5th that we usually stayed in was booked full (can you imagine that, in November!) but it was our fortune as it turned out. We went online and found this apt. OUR apt. as we will probably refer to it from now on because we have now found our new home in Paris! (I just hope it is available when we need it next...)
One long block north to the river meets up with the Pont des Artes, which crosses right to the Louvre. The Musee D'Orsay is also just a short walk. Go to the Polidor for a great bistro meal in an old creamery. But also stop in to Horse's Tavern (around the corner on the south side of Blvd. St. Germain at the Odeon M. stop) for a beer from just about anywhere in the world. Good moules, aussi!
Bon voyage!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! What a great place and what a PERFECT neighborhood! Everything and + what I had imagined Paris would be... Nathalie and Jean-Jacques were super nice and they even suggested one GREAT restaurant we ended up going.... POLIDOR, a must! Not to mention, the fact that we only got one metro to go to Sacre Coeur... the rest we did just like all the French do... we walked, everything was soooo close!
Again, thanks to both of you!
Carolina/ Andrew October 2004 was the first time we visited Paris. The apartment is in an excellent location. We completely loved Paris but our favorite part of the trip was the neighborhood. We loved just walking around. There are places to eat and cafes all around the apartment. Fruit markets and you are near 2 metro stops. We truly can not wait to visit again and we would highly recommend this apartment and the owners of the apartment they were VERY helpful. If you have any questions please let us know.

Hi Nathalie & Jean-Jacques! Thank you SO MUCH for the wonderful stay in your cute apartment! The location was absolutely SUPERB - close to all that is Paris (including a laundromat, supermarche, multiple patisseries & fromageries, metro, cafes & restaurants). We are already planning our return :o) A friend is looking for somewhere in Paris so of course, we have recommended Rue Bourbon! Au revoir!

Hello Nathalie & Jean-Jacques, We have just arrived home to Florida and are recovering from the journey. We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in your charming apartment! It was just what we were looking for. It was a pleasure meeting Jean-Jacques. We especially appreciate you providing a mattress and linens for Sofia. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Paris better. Staying in St. Germaine felt like we were part of the neighborhood. We found the people warm & friendly, the food delicious and the choices of cultural experiences virtually limitless. The location, size and amenities of the studio apartment were close to perfect. We would definitely like to stay in the apartment again on our next trip to Paris. Kindest Regards, Denise, Phil & Sofia Lee
from Phil and Sophia Lee In the past, I’ve stayed in Paris with some friends…(that was before they had families of their own).
Renting an apartment is the next best thing!
As to my stay at the rue Bourbon de Chateau apartment in February 2004:
Location, location, location! 2 minute walk to St. Germain des Prés.
Need I say more?
Yet it’s in the middle of a vital neighborhood that does not time its rhythm of life to the flow of tourists exploring Les deux magots. You’ll be tempted to walk a lot since so much is close by: the old Sorbonne, the Cluny museum, the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Seine embankments, endless bookstores… However, instead of waxing poetical about the Left Bank, which has all been rather adequately done before me, I’ll give you some down-to-earth practicalities:
1) The apt. is on a “mezzanine” level…that means there are only a few steps from the ground floor to the apt floor, not a full staircase. Doable even with my superheavy luggage.
2) There is an adjustable heater…and yes, you can be warm & comfortable at night (if you ever visited Europe in winter, you know that’s not a slight matter!)
3) Two subway stops for different lines very near to the house, in case you can tear yourself away from the neighborhood…
Many thanks to the friendly and helpful hosts and I hope to be back one day!
