LA PROPRIETE
L’appartement appartient à une chanteuse d’Opéra. Il est magnifique et plein de petits détails et d’attentions. On s’y sent très à l’aise et il surtout confortable.
L’EMPLACEMENT
Quartier touristique, avec un grand choix de restaurants, bistros et cafés. Le film "Amélie Poulain" a été majoritairement tournée dans le quartier.
La station de métro la plus proche est "Abbesses" ou encore "Anvers" (2 minutes) avec un accès simplifié vers le centre de Paris (Directe vers les Champs-élysées).
Le Sacré-Cœur se trouve sur la colline juste en face, mais aussi la "place du tertre" et ses peintres et musiciens, le cabaret du "Moulin Rouge". Un quartier qui a su gardé son charme d’époque.
To those looking for a cosy, comfortable, and altogether Parisian place to stay, look no further. Our stay chez Lucile last weekend (March 2009) exceeded our expectations! A lovely apartment with a charming landlady, we felt completely welcome and at home in this apartment. It has the charm of an older Parisian building, and everything works!! We also appreciated the little touches (the coffee, hot chocolate, the tour books for our use, bathrobe, the extra futon so the kids didn't have to sleep together, the wonderful views, and the piano). It was great fun to watch the movie Amelie on my laptop and look out the window and see the same view! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay. We have just returned from paris and cannot rate this apartment highly enough . A fantastic location , plenty of room ( we are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers ) and all the facilities needed . Do not hesitate to book this apartment , you will not be disappointed
Lucile, we enjoyed your appartment very much (in October 2007).
One thing that needs to be mentionned: it would be very helpful for guests to know the # of the appartment's phone to be able to get called back (specially needed when ordering a taxi).
I could not find it anywhere and the phone # you left in the contract is a cell phone #.
Many thanks for everything. What a pleasure it was to arrive late and find a bootle of wine waiting for us! Your appartment has everything we needed.

We have safely arrived in North Cyprus. Even after a long and tiring journey, all we could think of was beautiful Paris and your cosy flat. Although we stayed for only 8 days, we felt there at home.
We want to thank you for everything you have done for us. You have been most helpful and assisting. Your flat has everything one needs to feel home and comfortable. What I enjoyed most, was the location of your apartment. I loved shopping from the nearby shops. The prices here were a pleasant surprise to me.

Your apartment was in an ideal location for us to see Monmartre and Sacre-Coeur, as we had never visited this part of Paris before. It was also nice to have the freedom (and economy) of apartment living to prepare many of our own meals and to be able to enjoy these on the balcony of the apartment.

sister-in-law. I just wanted to say hello to you again, and although I know
the summer has passed, I wanted to say how much I enjoyed meeting you. My
stay in Paris was made quite wonderful by your kind hospitality.

I wanted to write you and let you know again how much we enjoyed our
stay in your apartment. It was really great. We enjoyed the
neighborhood, lots of good reasonably priced restaurants, and the metro
only minutes away. The village of Montmartre is really charming, the
way we imagine the old Paris was. And of course your apartment is
wonderful, we got really spoiled in Paris so we were very disappointed
in our apartment in Rome, it was pretty bad compared to your place. Did
you by any chance find a roll of exposed film? Pete lost a roll
somewhere between London and Paris and we are trying to find it. It is
Kodak or Fuji, I'm not sure how many exposures. Please let me know if
you found it and I will send you money to mail it back. Also, please
let me know if you ever decide to rent your house in the country, it
sounds wonderful. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Dear Lucile,
Sorry for the delay in writing! I just want to thank you for letting us stay
in your lovely apartment. The location is perfect - a fabulous view of the
Sacre Coeur, close to the metro, a lively,yet safe area and several
excellent restaurants close by. I would recommend to your future guests the
restaurants in the Abbess area. There are two Italian restaurants close
together and a most magnificent French restaurant. Unfortunately, I can't
remember the name of it, but it is close to the church in that area and it
has a bar on ground level. The prices are very reasonable too and the staff
are superb. I must also warn others about the Post Cafe opposite the metro -
the poor quality of the food is matched only by the dreadful service.
I regret that I did not get the chance to talk to you about your part in
Orpheus and Eurydice.I have a particular interest in the story of Orpheus -
I even use it in my email address.Perhaps there will be another occasion!
We had a wonderful holiday in Paris. You are so fortunate to live in such a
vibrant, elegant and culturally diverse city.

Thank you for letting us enjoy your apartment, it’s light and relaxed atmosphere with superb location has made a memorable stat for us. The Balcony views are stunning (by day and night).
The whole area has great character, interesting shops, good restaurants and all the facilities you need.
From the apartment we have been able to access all the man areas of Paris very easily. Paris is a wonderful city to just relax or be a busy tourist!
The apartment and the whole building is clean and well kept, this made it a pleasure to come home at the end of each day. Thank you!

my apologies for taking almost two weeks to write to you but we have been very busy since our return to Washington.
We loved your apartment and we had a lovely time there over our three week stay. It was eveything we were hoping for, well-equipped, very convenient and very comfortable. To have such a cosy base made our time in Paris both enjoyable and relaxing, so relaxing in fact that it was difficult to leave. I feel I now know Montmartre, at least a little, as a local.
