We spent an awesome time in this spacious yet affordable appartment in Paris! A perfect spot for our family of 4, with 2 small children (3y and 6y). L'appartement est bien tenu, super agréable et très bien situé à quelques pas du métro. On trouve tout ce qu'il faut dans ce quartier, de la brasserie sympathique à la bonne boutique de vin. Un immense et chaleureux merci du Québec!
Thanks for making our stay so easy!

Dear Elisa and David!
We had a nice week in Paris. We recollect wonderful time spent in your cosy and beautiful apartment. We tell our friends about Rue Truffaut flat.
I hope that we will arrive to Paris once again and we will stay in your apartment again.

Visited Paris in August 2009. Our apartment on Truffaut in the 17th arrondisement was absolutely great! The owners are very easy to communicate with and very kind. The apt was well represented on the photos and very comfortable, we had been on the road a week before we arrived in Paris and washing machine was very well appreciated along with the computer. The neighbourhood is really great, very quiet street and everyone is really friendly. It was really nice to come back to this neighbourhood at night. When we come back to Paris i would definetly stay here again!!! Thank you for a wonderful Parisian experience.

I rented the flat at Rue Truffaut in the Fall of 2007 while I was in Paris for a writing workshop. It was wonderful! Very well situated, close to grocery and shopping, and La FEMIS. It was just as it appeared in the photos...very charming and comfortable with a great bathroom. The owners, Elisa and David, were very accommodating...they let me rent the flat out for an extra night when I missed my flight back to NY...life-savers! I would definitely rent this flat again.

Had a lovely stay in your apartment at the end of January begining of February 2009. Lots of bakers, butchers, markets etc. really got a feel of the true Paris. Thank you very much for all the very helpful information regarding travel etc. made getting in and out of central Paris very easy and enjoyable. I would have no hesitation in recommending your apartment to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay whilst being a matter of minutes away from all the big tourist attractions.
Thanks again,
Patrick and Melanie. (Feb. 2009)

Just stayed at the apartment in Dec 2008, had a great time. Was easy to find and the neighborhood was lovely. Markets, stores, etc where all within walking distance. Apartment was clean and quiet - a perfect retreat from busy days of sightseeing. David was a great help and available if we needed him for any assistance. Was nice to see true Parisian neighborhood and away from the touristy areas. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Paris, thanks again David and Elisa

My children & I stayed for 4 nights here & really enjoyed it. Once we figured out the Metro (transit system) it became easier to get around, but the people there were very helpful. It is in a cute area of town with some nice restaurants around in walking distance.
It was nice to be able to come back to the flat & relax with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day of walking around Paris.
Thank you for your hospitality.

Me and my daughter stayed in the apartment at Rue Truffaut in september 2008. We really loved our stay there. It was good to have a nice " home " to come to in the evenings.
The neighbourhood was great. We loved to go to the market or the bakery. People where so friendly. We both loved Paris and this was not our last visit to this great city - now my daughter would like to move to Paris sometime in the future ( when she get older ).
Thanks David & Elisa for let us stay in your apartment and for all the great informations we got from you.
Best regards,

We recently enjoyed a wonderful two weeks at David and Elisa's Rue Truffaut apartment.
The apartment is small but quite comfortable and since the kitchen is well equipped we enjoyed making some our meals instead of eating out in restaurants all the time.
The 17th is an interesting and cosmopolitan area with a good choice shops closeby and the Metro stop Brochant is only a short walk from the apartment.
We will be back.
Many thanks to David and Elisa for helping us enjoy our stay in Paris.

What a great week! We really enjoyed coming "home" to such a cozy environment after a hectic day sightseeing. Your apartment is in a perfect neighborhood location----away the the typical tourist hubbub. We enjoyed going to both little bakeries in the neighborhood as well as the little "7-11" type convenience store every day. You spared no expense in outfitting the appt. and it shows. Would come back in a heartbeat!!

I have been to Paris many times before but this was the first trip where I had my own apartment. Your Rue Truffaut property was fantastic! The attention to detail from the pre-trip information package complete with directions, to the varied selection of CDs and books were nice touches. The apartment was clean, quiet, and close to a beautiful park, with wonderful epiceries on Rue des Moines. I especially appreciated the computer with internet access which saved me from bringing my laptop.
Thank-you for providing a wonderful place to stay in Paris.

The apartment was great! It was wonderful to live in an actual neighbourhood in Paris with the locals eating in the same restaurants and going to the market and the bakery. Having a separate bedroom is nice if someone needs a nap to recover from all the walking and someone else wants to go on the computer. There is lots of space for your stuff and everything you need in the kitchen. The metro is very close. Everyone in the building is friendly including the resident cats and dogs. If you would like more information please ask Elisa and David for our email.

David & Elisa were extremely accommodating. What you see truly is what you get…and more. This is a quaint, nicely decorated, very clean apartment close to the main Parisian streets. We were minutes away from great restaurants, tourist attractions and places to shop. Prior to arriving, we were emailed a packet of information, which included directions from several airports, maps of markets, attractions, happening clubs, etc. They anticipated our every need...your very own concierge service. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

I would definitely recommend this small but cozy apartment to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in Paris at a fair price. The place is decorated with taste and you will find anything you need for a holiday without worries. We were 2 couples and had no complaints. The owners are really nice people, you will like them instantly. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet and it's not too far from city center either.
Thank you David & Elisa. We hope to come back soon. :)

We stayed in this beautiful apartment for the first week of August (07) and had a fantastic week!
The apartment is in the heart of a typically Parisien neighbourhood, and if you want to escape the tourist throngs, this is definitely the place to be. With a great covered market, excellent cafe-bistros and everything else you'll need on your doorstep, it's great to hear French all around you, and experience the real Paris, rather than the packaged tourist variety. (That said, my French is terrible and that didn't stop me getting by as the locals were really friendly)
The apartment itself is immaculately presented and very stylish, but still really comfortable. It was nice to have all mod cons to hand, but still be within a stone's throw of the metro and local train station (with quick connection to St Lazarre, which is a great launch pad for the central sites).
All in all I can't praise it enough, and would recommend the experience to anyone looking to explore Paris with a little independence, and the urge to get in and out of the sight seeing spots without being overwhelmed by tourists and those who prey on them ;-)
Thanks,

My husband and I, who are in our late 20s, stayed in Elisa and David's apt late June, 2007, and found it to be just to our needs. The apartment has just been refurbished and is furnished very comfortably, with much attention to detail. It is quite large and the pictures on this website really don't do it justice! We really felt at home there - they provided everything we needed, and to a high standard. The internet access also proved very very helpful indeed, as guidebooks only tell so much...
The neighbourhood is really great! So close to the metro, an amazing local marketplace, and lots of very authentic shops and specialty foodstores (patisseries, boulangeries, fruit and vegetable shops, butchers, etc etc etc - we were in heaven!). Really, we wished we could stay a week just so we could try just a little of what the shopkeepers had to offer. There are also many restuarants in the area, including the one just on the corner next to the apt, La Bonne Heure, which was fantastic. We tried a couple of other restaurants in the area, and found them to be both very affordable and of very high quality, which is in contrast to much of what can be found in more central areas, and in our opinion, much more preferable. It's a very authentic, locals' area, felt very safe, with easy access to the metro at less than 5 minutes' walk, and with a park adjacent. Very quiet, too, as the bedroom is on the back of the apt block, facing away from any street noise.
In all, we would wholeheartedly recommend staying at Rue Truffaut!
Thank you, Elisa and David, for such a wonderful stay!

Very good experience overall. Nice area with good restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. Recommend a stop at the West bar for you Wild Wild West fans.Only negative would a complicated train access to Roissy; multi changes. That said the interior was impeccable and I would come again.

Hi Elisa/David/Lilou,
My 3 friends and I loved our stay in your apartment. The location was truly Parisian, we got up every morning and got our breads and pastries from the many local boulangeries and patisseries...The markets, restaurants and brasseries were conveniently close by. We loved the apartment, everything we could need was there. We were also close to the metro and within walking distance to Sacre Coeur and Place de Clichy, the park nearby was so beautiful. The neighborhood was simply lovely, people were nice and welcoming...On that note, there is a new bar/restaurant being built on Rue Brochant (walking towards metro), the gentlemen building the bar were so friendly and I meant to go and say hi but didn't get the chance, please do pass on a "hello from Los Angeles & best of luck for the bar" if you can :-).
You guys were so helpful during our vacation, thank you for all the wonderful memories you helped us form there. Lilou was magnifique!
We will definitely come back soon!

Very nice flat! We really enjoyed our time there (from 20, April, to 04, May 2007)!
District is very nice and calm. Metro station is within short walking distance. Park and market are very close to flat!
Everything was good!
Thanks to Elisa and David, very friendly people!
Svetlana and Marina.
P.S. we were very pleasantly surprise when we found out a bottle of vine as a gift in the day of our arrival.
Thank you!

We stayed in the apt during Easter 2007 vacation. It was a very pleasant experience. The apt has been refurbished, in good taste indeed, and looks "brand new". It is very peaceful (something we appreciated a lot) and has everything one needs for a relaxing holiday (a couple of extra kitchen pots would be welcome Elisa!). The owners were friendly, polite and accommodating. They also were very helpful, when we missed our flight back home and we needed to stay on for an extra night! We felt that the metro station and the market are very conveniently located, too. Elisa & David, thank you! Best regards from Greece!
