Rue de Levis apartment. We stayed in this lovely apartment in May 2008; it is in a delightful street in the 17e arrondissement, full of interesting shops, a daily fresh food market, and a popular bar at the intersection of Rue de Levis and Place de Levis. The apartment is very quiet, nice and sunny mid-morning (we found that out when we overslept!) and you access it via the inner courtyard in the picture - a perfect bolthole after the busyness of the city. Five minutes from the metro and a 20 minute stroll to the Champs-Elysees. The Parc Monceau is just a short walk and a nice place for a picnic. Dominique, the landlord, was a pleasure to meet, most helpful. We have been to Paris many times, this is the first time we stayed in this area, and the apartment is ideally suited to explore the area and other central Paris locations. We would stay here again.
We rented this appartment and everything about it was great. Dominique was a great landlord and always kept in touch and the apartment itself was homely, comfortable and in a great location. Only five minutes away (if that) from the metro and the street is filled with a local market, shops, cafes and restaurants and is perfectly safe.
We had a fabulous five days in Paris and it was so nice to come back to a 'home' at the end of the day when we had finished sight seeing around this beautiful city.
Highly recommended to anyone interested in visiting Paris but having the comfort of a place that isn't a hotel room. We can't wait to come back. Thank you Dominique. We rented this apartment twice (2003 and 2004) for a week at a time. This is a great location and a very comfortable apartment. Walking through the Rue de Levis market going to and from the metro every day was great. Dominique, the landlord as good too. Definitely recommended. Dan in Raleigh, NC USA
