THE PROPERTY
A small apartment - quite well optimized. Sleeping area for a family and a quite central location with easy access to all areas of Paris, using the subway or RER line.
LOCATION
Residential neighborhood near the center of Paris, bordered on the East by the Bois de Vincennes (a large park with a lake). Paris's Marina is there, spreading from the River Seine to the Place de la Bastille and its fabulous Opera theatre.
Near the the subway station "Nation" (lines 1, 2, 6 & 9), and "RER A" direct to Champs-Elysees, Latin quarter, Bastille, Concorde, Le Marais, Tuileries gardens, the Louvre, Palais Royal, the Sacre-Coeur in Montmartre, the Montparnasse tower, the Trocadero & Eiffel Tower, and the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport....

Me and my wife stayed in this apartment last september and we had great time there. It's confortable and has all you need to feel like at home. It's located in a residential neighborhood, near of Nation station ( RER and Metro) with a plenty of options (restaurants, cafes, supermarket, bakeries, etc) and, because of this, a few minutes of the main atractions
Elie is a great person, helped us a lot and provide all the support needed.

I stayed in this great apartment for over 4 months, and it was my home away from home. Elie and Dalila were very kind and helpful, and I always felt like they were happy to assist me. The building was very safe and the area was perfect too. 'Nation' is attached to many metro lines, making transportation very easy. The area is authentically french, and the food/restaurants are cheaper than a lot of areas as it is not overrun by tourists. The apartment is located on the sixth floor, and is sun filled throughout the day with a lovely view and sunset. Both windows open widely, allowing lots of fresh air. The free wifi was ideal as I am a University Student, and the free calls to landline phones made it very easy to stay in touch with my family/friends from Australia. The kitchen was equipped with everything necessary, and a hair dryer was useful too. Thank you Elie & Dalila, I will miss this apartment very much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Paris, in fact it was probably the best trip I have ever been on! Your friendliness was very appreciated and made our time a lot more enjoyable. The apartment was on the smaller side (which living in Australia we are not use to!) however it had everything we needed. The location of the Apartment was fantastic, as it was nice not to be in the middle of Paris but close enough to still access the main train lines and venture into the city when we felt like it.
All in all you made us feel very welcome and we would definitely recommend your apartment to anyone traveling to Paris!

rental period : Dec 19th till 28th This apartment is in a nice, quiet, safe neighborhood. The metro is nearby as is the supermarket. There is also a nice crepe stand near the metro and supermarket. One of the reasons we rent apartments is to cook our own dinners. We were able to do this but a regular oven in addition to the microwave would have helped. But being a small apartment there really wasn't room for an oven. The shower was good with hot water but we did wait between each of us showering to give the water time to heat up. The bath towels were very large, we liked that a lot. The heat worked well and we were comfortable in spite of some nasty November weather The apartment is advertised for up to 4 persons but it would be a bit crowded with 4, plus there is only room for two to eat at at a time. When we arrived we only had one hand towel and one bath towel, but another bath towel was delivered the next day. We have rented many apartments throughout Europe but this one surprised us in that it was the first time we had a 'compacting toilet' which does not allow for anything (other than human waste) to be flushed, including toilet paper. The small refrigerator needed to be defrosted, there was so much ice in the freezer it was almost impossible to put anything in.
I would recommend this apartment, but for no more than two people

We recommend everyone this studio-apartment. Elie is a very kind host and the communication with him before was very easy and he answered every time very quickly. His apartment is very nice, small but very cute and charming. It has everything you need inclusive WiFi. The Nation Metro station is very near and also a supermarket Casino is nearby. So you can save a lot of money when you take dinner and breakfast in the apartment after getting what you need for that in the supermarket. We can't find anything that's not so good with the apartment. So, thanks a lot Elie for staying in your apartment. If we'll come back to Paris, I would like to stay there again.

The convenience of the nearby supermarkets and Metro/RER were fantastic plus points of your apartment's location. We took the train from Nation station everyday. We got our fresh groceries for breakfast, dinner and picnic-lunch neccesities at the supermarket; perfect for our type of holiday in Paris!

I had the most wonderful stay in your apt whilst in Paris. The apt was bright, airy and very cheerful although it is even more so now that you have renovated it. I have seen the pictures and it looks lovely. The wireless internet was great and I was able to stay connected with family and friends.
Thank you so much for showing me around the neighbourhood, the supermarket was very convenient and I was able to buy groceries and cook some meals. The outdoor market was also wonderful and I found some delicious cheeses and pate. The neighbourhood was lovely and I really felt like a Parisian during my stay. I used the metro almost every day I was there and quickly found my was around Paris.
I will certainly stay in your apt again as it really felt like home.

Date: Aug 27 till Sep 2 2010 I (Jazi) and a cousin of mine stayed in such apt for 6 days (aug 17 to 22 2010). We enjoyed everything. The apt is small but comfortable for us. We could buy meal at a supermarcket close and cook our own food. The neighborhood is calm. We walked a lot without worring. Well as I enjoyed Paris I've no words against anything. Elie showed to be a good person and maybe a future friend. I'm from São Paulo (Brasil)
We stayed at the apartment from 31 July to 3 August 2010. It exceeded all my expectations and turned out to be an ideal place for our family (2 adults, 2 children aged 10 and 14) to stay. The position was perfect, close to the Nation metro in a quiet, truly Parisian neighbourhood. Very friendly and helpful man runs the mini supermarket on the corner and we enjoyed popping out in the morning to buy bread and croissants from the local boulangerie in the next street. The apartment was compact but had everything we needed and is in a very well maintained building. Lovely view out over the roof tops. The nights were warm so the efficient fan was very welcome. We felt very safe coming back on the metro late at night and strolling back to the apartment. Would definitely recommend this excellent value apartment to anyone visiting Paris and hope to come back again ourselves some day.

Hi Elie, Thanks for everything, it was a nice place to relax and get back to at the end of an exhausting day! The place is about 2.5 blocks away from the RER (Nation) - and super convenient to hop on/hop off to pretty much everywhere in Paris. It's a very quiet neighborhood and basically if you want to live like the locals, then this would be the place for you. Elie even supplies you with a Pay-As-You Go phone, which in Paris accepts free incoming - and you can charge it up if you plan to dial out - thank god Elie calls you to check up on you and everything because we had an incident with our bed and he came over to fix it after his work and he is the nicest guy ever. The only one complaint I would say is the bathroom - it's super tight, however, considering you get a kitchen, 2 beds, free tv (3 English channels by the way and like 100 French ones), free cell phone to use, then by all means, the bathroom is nothing. We were there from May 14 - May 18, 2009. Elie speaks perfect English, so have no worries! There's grocery stores down the block and 2 bakeries within a 2 block radius! Pharmacies are right across the St from the RER station, and quite a few pubs/bars/restaurants around the RER, so don't worry - you won't go hungry!

We stayed in your wonderful apartment with our 2 children (age 8 and 10). It was the perfect location - close to everything - shops, laundry, metro, etc. Everything was clean and comfortable and we loved the elevator. It was so much better than staying in a hotel and was perfect for a family of 4 - we even went to Pizza Hut which was just around the corner! The kids loved it! The price was also perfect! We will always remember our stay in Paris!

I stayed in the apartment on rue Dewet in May and really enjoyed it. It is very well located near the Metro, a laverie, a few supermarches and pharmacies, and several patisseries and brasseries. There is every convenience but it is also relatively quiet. The apartment is clean and comfortable, and in a safe and charming building. I liked the apartment so much that I miss it very much now! just to let you know that I enjoyed my four-week stay in the rue Christian Dewet. I found the studio quite pleasant: it is bright and sunny, and really quiet, too! The location, in this little sidestreet close to Place de la Nation, is indeed a big advantage and makes it easy to get around Paris with the metro/RER and the bus. I also liked the neighborhood, which offers many shopping and dining options. Thanks in particular for telling me about the biweekly outdoor market along the Cours de Vincennes.

despues de haber disfrutado 2 semanas en tu apartamento de Nation querìa comentarte algunas cosas que me parecieron importantes para agregar a los proximos visitantes.El area donde esta ubicado te permite llegar caminando por la noche con absoluta seguridad. En frente mismo del departamento se encuentra una lavanderìa que abre los 5 dìas de la semana, y en la esquina hay un pequeño supermercado que cuenta con casi todo lo necesario. Existe un supermercado de mayor tamaño, asì como farmacias, panaderìas, etc en Place Nation (2 cuadras)
El acceso al metro y a los trenes ràpidos es inmediato.Llegar desde el aeropuerto no me insumiò màs de 40 minutos y pocos euros.
El departamento es acogedor, con agua caliente en cualquier momento del dìa y una pequeña cocina (que no usamos mucho en realidad porque no podìamos competir con la gastronomìa francesa).
Fue tambien importante contar con tu asesoramiento sobre donde cambiar el dinero y las mil cosas que te preguntamos los primeros dìas.
Espero que nos podamos encontrar nuevamente en Paris dentro de poco tiempo.
Y la direcciòn seguro va a ser la del departamente en 9 Rue Christian Dewet Paris 75012 ( Metro RER Nation).

Here are my impressions from Rue Dewet 9 (at last :) ):
It's a nice place and comparing to other accommodation prices in Paris extreamaly affordable. It's location enables you to reach any place in Paris quickly with Metro. Parking tickets are delivered only once a week in this neighborhood so you can park for just 11 EUR per week :). Apartment is fully equipped (with appliances) so even cooking for four is possible. I've already recommended the apartment to my friends in Slovenia (they are coming to this apartment in August). Our staying in Paris was very pleasant also thanks to the nice landlord Lyes.

We found the appartment very comfortable for three persons. One of us
was a 11- year old girl and chair-madresses were fully comfortable for her. Sofa-bed was ok for two persons.Actually, I have only positive
to say about the studio rue dewet. Freeze worked fine and we were happy to cook some of the meals by our self everyday. Food was easy to find near the apartment in small shops, supermarkets and outdoor
marquets like rue Aliegri (mangos were there as good as in Ivory Coast
och in Zanzibar). Both vegetables and fruits were exellent there.
Place is nice and quiet. It felt comfortable to be out even later in the
evening with my youngest one.In the neighbourhood you can find several restaurants which suite for lunch och dinner.
But still the appartment is near everything in Paris. Not even the
strike in metro could disturb our time in Paris but a little. Fan was good to have since the weather was exeptionally fine ( warm with few showers) for us who are used to Finnish summer.
What else? Thanks for all the advice you gave, Elie. Our trip (for 11-year
old Elena it was first) to Paris was succesfull, very much because of good accomodation. This is the place I want to live also next time when
I come to Paris.

We had a wonderful week staying at Lyes' apartment on Rue Christian Dewet. The apartment was beautifully light and spacious for a studio and had all the equipment we could want. We felt that the apartment gave us exactly what we were looking for for our holiday - staying in a charming real Parisian building with gorgeous views over the rooftops especially at sunset. The local area held all the shops we needed to self-cater, the local cafes were friendly and on Saturday the longest farmer's market in Paris was superb. We were right on a transport hub and got to many of the places we ventured out to without having to change Metro. We will definitely be coming back!

We already got photos from Paris and the first week at home we were recalling memories from Paris almost every day. We are realy overwhelmed by the beauty of Paris and I hope we will come back.
It was very nice to spent one week in your sunny and clear studio for reasonable price that our family budget permit it. And location of the studio is great as a start-point in every direction. And your neighbours are very kind. In short, we had realy a great time in Paris.

My comments on the Apartment and the area: I think the apartment is situated very conveniently, especially because it is so close to the Metro.
The area as well as the apartment building is very quiet and safe, and all amenities are just around the corner.Your apartment is also equipped with all that is needed.
Being from a another country, I did find it very small, but it did not bother me, because the weather was pleasant enough to be out all day untill late. Should I ever visit France again, I will probably stay there again.

I am very sorry it has taken so long for me to reply! I enjoyed your apartment immensly. I was so close to the metro station that it made it very easy for me to see all of the tourist sights in France. I enjoyed having my morning coffee at the local cafes and we made great use of the local supermarket.
The only suggestion I can make is for you to provide tea-towels for the kitchen so that the dishes can be dried.
If I return again to paris I will be sure to contact you. Thanks for everything.

La pasamos muy bien en tu departamento, tuvo el tamaño justo para nosotros tres. Esta super bien ubicado con la parada Nation tan cerca donde hay tantas combinaciones de subte. Todos los subtes siempre nos llevaban a casa. Ademas el supermercado Casino tan cerca nos saco del apuro todas las noches para cenar mas economicamente en casa. Y una cosa muy importante en invierno... las estufitas, cuando llegabamos a casa congelados, las prendiamos y en un rato el departamento estaba super calentito. Nos quedo un recuerdo muy lindo de todo. Y sobre todo de tu amabilidad con nosotros. Tambien nos encanto tu ciudad. Quedamos totalmente sorprendidos. Hermosa! Bueno Lyes...una vez mas muchas gracias. Although the weather is cold to us (It is 20'C in HK while only 5'C in Paris ...), the apartment provide a very comfortable place to stay (most important, we can do some cooking during a cold night) The transportation is top convenient. We are quite afriad of the complicated transportation lines in Paris but luckly, we can go to everywhere without change the line from Apartment (Even to Disneyland and Airport, so suprising !!) L'apartment de la rue Dewet c'est un studio vraiment agreable et qui offre toute le confort nécessaire pour y séjouner pendant beacoucoup de jours. On y avait habité pendant 18 jours et la proximité du metro, supermarché, boulangerie a devenu possible avoir l'experience de vivre cette ocasion là comme un parisien qui habite un arrondissement très calme et pas trop chére. Our family of three enjoyed staying in this apartment for two important reasons. First, the location of the apartment to the Metro and RER, which linked us to the rest of Paris, couldn't be beat.
The other conveniences we desired, such as a grocery store, ATM, pastry shops, and restaurants, were all within a few blocks.
Secondly, we wanted to stay in a neighborhood where the locals work and live, and this was it. We were far away from the busy tourist hotels and instead lived like Parisians for a week.
