Offer : 20% discount for August, 1 to 4 people

Conveniency : 2 apartments located in the same building.
They provide 4 sleeps each wich make able to book until 8 people.
One apartment is at the first floor, the second at the second floor. Elevator.
Subway and Supermarket at the bottom of the building.

Apartment : Eiffel tower1
Last comment : My husband and I stayed in this rental the first two weeks of April 2010 to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Paris, and this was the perfect apartment -exactly what we had hoped. It is conveniently located and spacious. We were able to save some euros by shopping at the nearby market and cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. Nicolas was so pleasant and helpful. He is a genuinely nice person who does everything he can to make his renters comfortable. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and, in fact, would love to return.

Apartment : Eiffel tower2
Last comment : My husband and our 3-year old stayed in this apartment for a week in mid April. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back. The apartment is just blocks away from Eiffel tower (you can actually see it from one of the windows), however the neighborhood is very residential, not touristy. There are several very nice playgrounds close by and Paris aquarium (about 5 min walk) - which I guess is important for families with children. The place is cozy, quite and has everything you need for your stay. The location is perfect, with two major subway stations (one is right in front of the building). The owner, Nicolas, was very nice and quick responding to any of our questions/problems, which was nice, we felt somewhat reassured that if something unpredictable happens (like volcanic eruption) there is a person who can help. This was our first experience renting an apartment rather than staying in a hotel, but we're really glad we stayed here. Gives you a totally different feeling than staying in a hotel.

Great accommodations for seniors :
The subway station is newly renovated, equipped with escalators and each line is provided with elevator. Even though Paris subway is well spread all over the city, but more metro stops need to improve their adequate accessibility since these stations were built in early years.
The building has a fully equipped kitchen with microwaves, oven, refrigerator, etc.
And to make your stay more convenient there's a supermarket only 100 feet (30 meters) away from the building.

I am looking for some recommendations for my next trip, which I will be taking to Nice! Surprisingly I have never been to this area of France, though I have travelled quite a lot around the country. I will be going in the spring with two cousins of mine who also don't know the area. Would anyone have any ideas as to what sites or things we definetely shouldn't miss, restaurants, etc? I hear that the Old Town is nice, and that there are quite a lot of nice museums and cathedrals to see. But it would be nice to get some personal recommendations. Also we don't yet know where we will be staying, but we are thinking of renting a little apartment. We would want something quite central, and all we need is something simple, we will be there a week or so. What sites are good for this? I have looked at this site:

http://www.casamundo.co.uk/france/c%C3%B...r/nice.htm

Their apartments look simple but nice, and I like their prices. This site also looked decent:

http://www.nicepebbles.com/index.php

Otherwise I'm not sure how to go about renting a place, any suggestions or tips?
Also, is the spring a nice time to visit Nice or is it best in the summer? Is it worth buying a guide book or can we just figure out the city on our own?

I have lived many years in the US (LA and NY) and I still work and travel a lot internationally.

I do now live in the Marais, very close to the apartment Rue des Gravilliers. It is a great neighborhood where I love to come back to settle down a bit and to enjoy Paris in a very simple way, walking and bicycling to places, going to the local stores and restaurants, having brunch at the Marche des Enfants Rouges on the week-end...

I have used my own experiences, living in France and abroad, to create a very cosy apartment, a safe and warm place in the middle of the busy center of Paris.

I love Paris for its old buildings, for the small and winding streets in the historical center, and for the local food places...

The apartment Rue des Gravilliers has the charm of the old, in an historic building, with authentic beans and wooden floors...
... but it also has all the modern amenities having been renovated a few years ago to offer a clean and modern comfort.

Actually, the apartment has been spruced up and renovated this Summer : it looks even better then it used to !

I want the experience of my guests to be as comfortable and convenient as possible : do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions.

If you decide to stay at my apartment, I am convinced you will have a great stay in Paris : numerous past guests have become repeat guest who always enjoy "coming back to their home away from home" !

I wish you a great trip !
Cheers,

Suggestions for a Sunday in Paris...

* Philosophy : if you speak French, it is fun to enjoy a drink while watching people who are discussing, in a very orderly, but sometimes passionate manner in a Café Philosophique ; a good one is Café des Phares, Place de la Bastille, every Sunday fom 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. In English : Café de Flore, 172 blvd Saint-Germain (first Wednesday each month). There are, also, a few "Science cafés", the best one being "Le Père Tranquille" 16 rue Pierre Lescot 75001 (1rst Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.).

* Musée Guimet, one the most (if not The Most) extraordinary museums of Oriental Art in the world, 6 Place d'Iéna 75016 ; do not forget to visit its beautiful Annex nearby, the Musée du Panthéon Bouddhique with its Japanese garden (19 avenue d'Iéna 75016).

* Listen to Jazz in the Flea Market (Django Reinhard "gipsy" style) : there are several small restaurants with good music and the Flea Market is fun to visit (it is safe but beware of pickpockets!) : Metro station : Porte de Clignancourt (open Friday, Saturday; Sundays and Monday)

* Sip a cup of tea with Arab sweets at the Mosquée (5th arrondissement, near the Jardin des Plantes), visit an African open air market in Belleville (11th arrdt. northeast of Paris), enjoy a Chinese meal in Chinatown (13rd arrdt, southwest)

* Walk along the Canal Saint Martin and the Bassin de la Villette (see many more suggestions of walks)

* Stroll in the Parc de Bagatelle, a wonderful rose garden in a large park around a charming XVIIIth century mansion built for Marie-Antoinette (in the Northern part of the Bois de Boulogne)

* (if it rains!) Watch movies at the Forum des Images/Vidéothèque de Paris (in the Forum des Halles) : a wonderful place, ideal if you want to select and watch several movies in a row or pick out all the the movies with a particular actor, a particular place, etc... Some movies will make you understand France better! The best street for (old) movies is Rue Champollion (between Place de la Sorbonne and Rue des Ecoles) : several movie theaters showing only classic films.
